One of the UK’s most prolifically successful DIY/independent bands, Slow Readers Club return this week with new music and details of their sixth album. Technofear is the latest from the ‘indie noir’ Manchester four-piece, coming shortly before a run of SOLD OUT tour dates up and down the country.
Released this Friday 11 October 2024, the single is a tracer for the release of new album, Out Of A Dream.
The band’s live prowess holds no secret, a colossus amongst fans of classic, intelligent songwriting and the kind of tech-infused studio work that brought uneasy comparisons to Joy Division, Interpol, James and numerous others with stadium-sized-reputations in the same field. Across five previous albums, two have sailed into the UK Top 20 and brought live riches including a sold out, 3,500-capacity Manchester Apollo, numerous arena support dates and summers of main stage festival appearances.
