Huey Morgan, the charismatic former frontman and guitarist of the legendary Fun Lovin’ Criminals, is making a triumphant return to live music in 2025. This spring, Morgan will hit the road with his brand-new band, Huey Morgan: The Fun Lovin’ Criminal, bringing his unmistakable mix of funk, soul, hip-hop, and rock to UK stages throughout May.
Fans can expect a night of nostalgia and excitement as Huey delivers a setlist packed with iconic Fun Lovin’ Criminals classics, including “Scooby Snacks,” “The Fun Lovin’ Criminals,” “King Of New York,” and “Love Unlimited,” alongside the promise of new material.
Reflecting on his return to live music, Huey shares:
“After almost 4 years, I’m returning to what I’ve loved all my life: playing cool authentic music for cool authentic people.”
Meet the Band
Joining Huey on this tour is an all-star lineup of seasoned musicians and longtime collaborators, creating a dynamic new live experience.
Mateo DiFontaine (original Fun Lovin’ Criminals member) brings his versatile talents to keys, turntables, and lap steel guitar.
“King”—a singer in the Tangiers Blues Band and one of Huey’s oldest friends—is on bass guitar, adding humor and swagger to the stage.
Leon James on drums adds an energetic, dynamic pulse to the live show, with his stylistic versatility shining throughout the set.
Adrian Gautrey, handpicked for his deep knowledge of funk, soul, punk, and hip-hop, rounds out the lineup on keys with his signature flair on the B3 organ.
