Afternoon Delight: The Rock Project Devon
The event kicks off in the afternoon with a spectacular display of budding musical talent from The Rock Project Devon. Young bands, DJs, songwriters, and broadcasters aged 7-18 will take the stage, having honed their skills and poured their hearts into preparing an extraordinary show. Be prepared to be amazed and inspired by the creativity and passion these young performers bring to the table. Their dedication and hard work promise to leave you in awe.
Evening Showcase: Rising Stars of the South West
As the day transitions into evening, the spotlight shifts to some of the finest emerging artists from the South West. Benny G, the esteemed producer at Studio 54 Exeter, has had the pleasure of recording these exceptional acts. According to Benny, "We're living in the most exciting time for new music in the South West that I’ve ever seen. There are so many strong, diverse acts to choose from that we’re going to have to hold yet another event as we simply couldn’t fit all the ones I wanted in!" This statement alone speaks volumes about the incredible talent that will be on display.
Supporting the Local Music Industry: Creative Music Hub
Further bolstering the local music scene, the Cameron Mills Group, parent to Studio 54 Exeter and The Rock Project Devon, has launched the Creative Music Hub. This community interest company, in collaboration with Exeter Phoenix, will be offering a series of free artist development workshops aimed at young musicians. Dubbed "Amplify," these workshops will feature industry professionals providing invaluable advice on image, style, marketing, performance, and production. It's a fantastic opportunity for young musicians to gain insights and refine their craft.

King Cerulean - dynamic nine-piece pop funk band, who evolved from small open mic nights to sold-out venues in Cardiff and London, recently winning Hot Vox’s ‘New Blood’ competition, securing a slot in the line-up at the Isle of Wight Festival 2024. Drawing inspiration from bands like Ripe, The Cat Empire, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, King Cerulean lift spirits and spread positivity with their passion and unique style.
King Louis - communicating across genres, through lived experiences King Louis formed at Exeter University to share their creativity and alt rock with the world.
Half Cut - radiating contagiously explosive energy Exeter rock band Half Cut hark back to 70s and 80s with their sound & looks.
Sidplusone - one of Exeter’s finest bands, expect a groovy blend of old funk and their own unique quirks sound.
3 Days Of Wonder - often described as having music that is mature for such a young band & taking inspiration from The Police, U2, Foo Fighters, The Script and Big Country. Devon based 3 Days Of Wonder tell stories with their music.
Balustrades - Exeter-based, loud & handsome indie-rock. For fans of The National, Ryan Adams, The Gaslight Anthem.
Palemoon - alternative band from Devon, expect trip-hop and alt rock sounds reminiscent of Radiohead & Portishead.
Bar Stage
Benny G afterparty DJ Set - the event curator & producer at Studio 54 Exeter playing some of his favourite tunes to see out the evening.
The Dilly Boys - a foot stomping folk collective from Devon. Their carefully constructed harmonies and strings create an intriguing folksome sound.
Francesca Brown - creator of The Exe Gig Collective, Francesca writes intimate acoustic music with echoes of childhood and memories of the past.
Emily Howard - playing lively acoustic soul music, Emily’s music is reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and similar folk heroes.
April Martin - an iconic voice coupled with powerful songwriting blending hip-hop with RnB, April is one to watch.
Amelie Valentine - bringing back grunge and 90s aesthetic girl-rock Amelie will remind you of Alanis Morrissette and Beabadoobee
Vanessa Klos - shooting into the conversation with her emotional song ‘You Are The Reason For My Song’, Vanessa writes music that will strike your heart.
