If you attended SHIIINE ON last November in Minehead, you may have seen SLEEPER perform an incredible show in front of a capacity audience on the Saturday night.

If you weren’t so lucky, you are in luck as the band will be appearing at Exeter’s Phoenix in the heart of the city to perform an acoustic evening which promises to be filled with anecdotes, chat and incredible music that allowed the band to become pioneers of the Britpop scene.

Sleeper is a British alternative rock band that emerged from the Britpop scene of the early 1990s. The band was formed in London in 1993. They quickly rose to prominence during the mid-1990s, becoming one of the standout acts of the Britpop movement, which also included bands like Blur, Oasis, and Pulp.

Sleeper is known for a number of tracks that became hits during the height of the Britpop era. Some of their most popular songs include "Inbetweener", "What Do I Do Now?", "Sale of the Century", "Statuesque” & "Nice Guy Eddie".

Sleeper enjoyed significant success during the mid-1990s, with their albums and singles charting well in the UK. Their music was emblematic of the Britpop sound, characterized by a blend of catchy pop melodies and rock instrumentation. Despite disbanding in 1998, Sleeper's music continued to resonate with fans, leading to a reunion in 2017. Since then, they have released new music and continue to perform, reminding audiences of their lasting impact on the Britpop genre.
