It’s great to see that the curators of Cornish based festival TUNES IN THE DUNES have branched out this year and have created TUNES IN THE CASTLE, a family friendly event packed full of incredible bands and medieval themed entertainment. Taking place at POWDERHAM CASTLE (just outside Exeter) from 3-4 August, you can look forward to seeing some INCREDIBLE acts.

FRANK TURNER & THE SLEEPING SOULS are an incredible festival band and are guaranteed to have you up and dancing and singing along to his classic indie folk anthems.

The voice of PIXIE LOTT is enough to send shivers down your spine, to say that she is a super talented singer is an understatement, we’re really looking forward to catching her set.

WARD THOMAS burst onto the UK Country music scene a few years ago and after bagging a number 1 album and regular airplay on Radio 2 courtesy of ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris, they have quickly become firm favourites on the live music circuit.

When you mention LEGENDS in the music industry, you have to mention THE SUGARHILL GANG, Hip-Hop’s first superstars and pioneers. These guys made history in 1979 with their debut 12” Rap Single “Rappers Delight”, this was the first commercial rap record ever made and later went on to become the largest selling 12” single of all time with over 15 Million Records sold.

Another festival favourites on the bill are SCOUTING FOR GIRLS, this band have enjoyed phenomenal success with singles such as "She's So Lovely", "Heartbeat", and "Elvis Ain't Dead" and are an INCREDIBLE live band, you really don’t want to miss these!

The creators of a genre called ‘Rockgrass’ are HAYSEED DIXIE, they formed in the summer of 2000 on the front porch of a cabin in the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee, when, after drinking enough whiskey to float a battleship across the Sahara Desert, it became suddenly obvious to the boys that the "Lost Highway" of Hank Williams and the "Highway To Hell" of AC/DC were the same damned road. Expect dungarees, alcohol and lashings of fun from these guys!

After dropping out of the TV talent show X-FACTOR due to illness, LUCY SPRAGGAN was snapped up by a major record label and has gone on to create 5 albums (the fifth ‘Today Was a Good Day’ set for release on May 3rd 2019). She is an incredibly talented Acoustic Folk Pop Singer Songwriter who thrives on a stage in front of thousands of people, an ideal act for TUNES IN THE CASTLE!

Hailing from Sydney in Australia, LIME CORDIALE are a five piece sun soaked indie pop band who have put out some amazing tracks, check them out on YouTube to get a taste of what is to come from their live set.
